- A Bothrops Alternus, popularly known as Urutu cruise, is a very poisonous snake. Its poison is one of the most toxic among all snakes found in Brazilian territory.

- The Urutu snake cruise lives on average twenty years.

- It has fangs drained by channels, used to inoculate the poison, which is produced by the glands.

- Its activity period is twilight (late afternoon) and night.

- An adult snake of this species is 1.10 to 1.60 meters long.
